Where is the Counseling Center and when is it open?

We are located in Davis Hall on the first floor in room. 107. We are open:  Monday – Wednesday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Thursday  8:00 am – 5:00, and Friday 9:00 am – 5 pm

How can I make an appointment?

Stop by the center during our noted office hours to schedule an appointment or call (336) 334-4822 ext. 50038

Can I request a certain Counselor?

Counselors are trained in specific areas (i.e. disabilities, women’s issues, domestic violence, etc.) therefore you may desire to request a counselor according to specialty.

Where do I go to locate community assistance with finances, childcare, housing, etc.?

Speak with one of the counselors in the Counseling Center, Davis Hall, room 107

I am experiencing personal problems with depression, anxiety, grief, etc., who can I talk to?

Confidential/Private sessions can be provided by a certified counselor on a walk in or appointment basis.

I need help with developing good study skills/habits and would like to be assessed for possible test anxiety. Are there counselors available to work with me?

Counselors offer workshops each semester to address these topics and others. Individual academic counseling sessions can also be made by scheduling an appointment or by walk-in.

I sometimes experience suicidal thoughts or have tried to harm myself before, is there assistance for me?

See a certified counselor in Davis Hall, room 107.

Is there a fee for counseling sessions?

Counseling services are free of charge to all students.
