What is a Student Club:
A student club is a group of persons organized for a specific purpose with common interests.
How to form student club:
To start a club at GTCC, please complete these three requirements:
- You need five currently enrolled curriculum students as members
- A Full-Time faculty or staff to serve as an advisor
- A club constitution (sample constitution)
Once you have the three requirements, please contact the Student Life Office for appropriate paperwork that needs to be completed. Keep in mind that we will not approve clubs that are similar to currently existing organizations.
Advantages of club membership:
Becoming a member of a club holds numerous benefits. The most obvious of these is that it is an arena in which to make new friends! Some people find that meeting new people can be difficult, however when you have a commonality such as an interest in chess or an academic program, you begin an opportunity for lifelong friendships. Also, as a recognized student club, you have access to campus facilities (at no cost) as well as funds from student activity fees.
Find the right place for you! There is something for everyone at GTCC!
