Preparing more students to earn a credential that will allow them to meet the challenges of today’s world, the Student Success Center at GTCC supports students in a variety of ways. Students “start with the end in mind” and our talented Student Success Specialists guide students along the way to discover their passion, create a plan and stay on the course to completion.

How Can I Help?

Student Success is the process whereby Faculty Coaches and Student Success Specialists and students work together to attain student educational and life goals. The Student Success Center is an integral part of your educational experience. The Student Success Center is here to provide support as you make decisions regarding academic success, higher education, and lifelong learning. Serving Students at a Distance

In an effort to serve students to the best of our ability The Student Success Center will do the following in addition to seeing students face to face.

  1. Complete an override over the phone or email.
  2. Be advised over the phone or email.
  3. Be registered over the phone or email.
  4. Complete a graduation audit over the phone or email.
  5. Program Change forms can be faxed in, if you are a veteran the signature of the Veteran Coordinator is still required.
  6. Withdrawal can be submitted via email from the student email that includes the following:
    1. Name, Student ID Number, Course information
    2. Reason withdrawing from course
    3. Message indicating they don’t want to speak with the financial aid or veteran office.

Students will have to be able to verify the following information for any services provided via phone or email.

  1. If email, student must email you from their GTCC email.
  2. For phone calls and emails you must verify: Name, Student ID, last four digits of social, date of birth, address, and courses taken the previous semester.
